The art and music worlds recently mingled at Los Angeles’ Perry Rubenstein Gallery, where Shepard Fairey unveiled a series of paintings inspired by Neil Young’s new album with Crazy Horse, called “Americana.” At such a mash-up, the fashion transcended classification, mixing metallics and summer whites with bold brights that appeared on everything from red sash belts and electric blue spectacles to aquamarine cape linings and yellow palazzo pants. Kate Hudson heeded the call for color with an orange clutch and red brassiere peeping from underneath her blouse, while fellow thespian Ginnifer Goodwin interpreted the lovely lace trend in her own way.
