FRIENDS REUNITED: An occasional, warm rain directed guests in and out of candle-lit gardens at Valentino's Moonlight Couture party, held on the lavish grounds of the Hôtel Salomon de Rothschild in Paris on Wednesday night.
Greeted by a column of trays of Champagne as they walked in, guests danced to tunes spun by budding DJs Anthony and Sean Souza, the sons of Valentino global brand ambassador Carlos Souza.
“It’s always so much fun to come to Paris. Nobody does it like Valentino — chic and classic,” said Nicky Hilton.
Among guests were childhood friends and budding models Laura Love and Atlanta De Cadenet, thrilled to soak in a debut fashion trip together. “I’ve been traveling a lot, and getting to move out of my mother’s shadow, doing my own thing,” said Love, whose mother is Vogue’s West Coast editor, Lisa Love. The young model just did a campaign for Etro, shot by Mario Testino.
As the daughter of Duran Duran bassist John Taylor and talk show host and photographer Amanda De Cadenet, Atlanta De Cadenet said she too is figuring out her own path. Still, “our mothers are still definitely there!” she laughed.
