WINTER WOOD: Oud was in the air Saturday afternoon at Saks Fifth Avenue, where Laurice Rahme, founder and owner of Bond No. 9 New York, made a guest appearance in the revamped fragrance floor for her 500 limited edition fragrance, Saks New York Oud.
“I like to do oud for the fall season,” she said. “Even though in the Middle East they use oud when it’s 105 degrees outside.”

The $405 signature star-shaped flacon embedded with the bottle number in Swarovski crystals sold just under 1/3 of its total inventory on Saturday, which Rahme anticipates will sell out during the holiday season.
"It’s not really oud for the holidays," she said. "It’s oud for New York."
