BRANCHING OUT: After a live radio chat with Fern Mallis at Saks Fifth Avenue Thursday for Sirius XM, Carolina Herrera greeted fans, posed for photos and signed Key to the Cure T-shirts she had designed. Wearing one of the crewneck shirts on top of a white button-down, the designer greeted shoppers, chatting with them in English or Spanish. Standing in her third-floor concept shop, she told one, “Do you see what it is? It is a tree with a map of the world with 1,600 little pink hearts because disease goes everywhere in the world.”
Saks is selling Herrera’s $35 design in its stores and online.
