VALVO TO BE HONORED: Carmen Marc Valvo will be honored by the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation on Nov. 15 at the 67th Street Armory in New York. Over 1,600 guests are expected to attend from the worlds of finance, fashion, real estate and science. Valvo has given his time and money to the organization, which raises funds for Colon Cancer Research. As a colon cancer survivor, Valvo has worked with Katie Couric to bring attention and support of research of this disease.
“We could not have found a more deserving person to honor this year,” said Dr. Samuel Waxman. “Carmen Marc Valvo’s untiring dedication to draw attention to this insidious disease has brought a better understanding of its lethal powers. He is also a testament to survival and inspiration to those who are battling the disease.”
