HELPING HAND: Costume National and Saks Fifth Avenue are throwing a cocktail party this evening in New York, presenting the Italian fashion brand’s latest fall-winter collection to the tune of a live performance by singer and actress Sophie Auster. Creative director Ennio Capasa will attend the event, which kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and also aims to publicize OrphanAid Africa, a non-profit organization that assists vulnerable children and their communities in Ghana: through Friday May 3, 10 percent of Costume National sales at Saks will go toward the charity.
