IAC to Hold Fourth Gold Conference

METAL MEETINGS: Initiatives in Art and Culture (IAC) will be holding it’s fourth gold conference on April 11 and 12 in New York City. The conference, titled “Gold — Desire, Design, and Demand,” will focus on gold jewelry. Topics to be covered over the two day conference range from the challenges and opportunities of marketing to Millenials to a panel devoted to fair gold, artisanal mining, traceability and the marketplace. Conference presenters include goldsmiths Henry Dunay and William Garer, Mark Emanuel, owner of David Webb, and blogger Natalie Joos, as well as a host of designers, such as Melissa Joy Manning, Pamela Love and Alex Woo. The conference will kick off on April 10 with a gold jewelry viewing at the Macklowe Gallery. Early registration is currently open through the IAC Web site.
