NEW RECRUIT: Word has it Paco Rabanne, in the midst of rebooting its fashion department, has tapped a leather goods executive from Céline. According to market sources, Anouck Duranteau-Loeper, currently Céline’s leather goods and accessories director, is to join Paco Rabanne. Her exact title and responsibilities could not be learned and Paco Rabanne officials could not be reached for comment.
The fashion house, owned by Barcelona-based Puig, is in relaunch mode under a new creative director for women’s wear, Balenciaga alum Julien Dossena, whose debut collection for spring pointed to a younger, streetwise direction for a brand synonymous with the Sixties Space Age look. Puig revived Rabanne’s dormant fashion business in 2011.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Duranteau-Loeper has also worked in strategy at LVMH Fashion Group and been a consultant at McKinsey & Co.
Meanwhile, Paco Rabanne’s fragrance business roars ahead. Its latest men’s scent Invictus, which was launched four months ago, ranked number one in France, the U.K., Germany, Italy, Russia and Europe’s travel-retail channel in October, the company said. In Spain, Invictus figured in the top three.
