NIGHT MOVES: Milan Fashion Week’s September calendar is not official yet, but, according to a rough draft obtained by WWD, Gucci is expected to kick off the spring shows on Sept. 19, and Giorgio Armani’s two shows moved from their traditional Monday morning slot, which basically wrapped up the week, to 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 23. Could the designer be unveiling a new exhibition? While the company declined to comment Thursday, Armani said in May that he was planning a presentation of some of his past designs, selecting specific looks that mark historical moments over the past 10 years and mulling the idea of holding the exhibition in Milan during the shows in the near term.
DSquared2, Jil Sander and Roberto Cavalli, together with Gianfranco Ferré, Luisa Beccaria and Ports 1961, among others, are tentatively scheduled on the following day, closing the week.
