SPANISH FLY: Loewe’s creative director, Stuart Vevers, made a stop in Los Angeles Thursday to support the brand’s capsule bag collection in Neiman Marcus. The retailer picked up three Loewe bags — the Amazona, Lia and Flemenco — after Bergdorf Goodman’s three-year relationship with the Spanish luxury house proved successful. After spending a night at Chateau Marmont, where he was “spotted” (via Twitter) on the same night as Warren Beatty and Usher, Vevers headed to Neiman’s San Francisco on Friday, then is off on a two-week train holiday across the U.S. during which he’ll visit Seattle, Montana, Chicago, Memphis, Orlando, Miami and the Florida Keys.
“I like adventure,” said the designer, who has traversed the country by train twice before. “I don’t like to stay in one place.” His next collection, which shows in Paris on Sept. 29, was inspired by the northeastern part of Spain.
