PF Flyers, a division of Boston-based New Balance, dove into its archives to create the spring ’10 collection, taking shoes from its classic sports styles over the last 70 years and reinterpreting them with new materials. Ballistic nylons, waxed canvases and sequined-printed Italian leathers give the heritage silhouettes a new look. Under the direction of creative heads Roberto Crivello and Savania Davies-Keiller, the line has put a focus on color for the unisex high-tops and low-tops, with brights (especially blue and orange) accenting neutrals and metallics. Retail prices for the line range from $70 to $100, and styles will deliver in February to sneaker boutiques and independent accounts.
