SCHMITT TO H&M: H&M named Marybeth Schmitt continental communications director. She was previously senior vice president of communications at Tommy Hilfiger. Schmitt left that job last June when Hilfiger moved the position of global communications head to Amsterdam, where the company is based. Schmitt’s role at H&M, which is a new position, encompasses corporate communications, public relations, events, sponsorships and social media in the U.S., Canada and Latin America. “I help support the growing expansion of the H&M brand in the U.S.,” she said.
