Yahoo's Lee Sosin Heading to Hearst

The former vice president of strategy solutions for Yahoo will join Hearst Magazines Digital Media as senior vice president on Monday.

TIT FOR TAT: Hearst has nabbed a digital guru from Yahoo, completing the circle of employee looting following Yahoo’s hire of Elle’s Joe Zee in April. Lee Sosin, former vice president of strategy solutions for Yahoo, will join Hearst Magazines Digital Media as senior vice president on Monday. Sosin will oversee advertising solutions from concept development to content creation, including Hearst’s branded video function, the company said.

Sosin, who will report to Troy Young, president of Hearst Magazines Digital Media, helped expand Yahoo’s sales strategy team. He also led the development of integrated marketing programs in the U.S., among other things.

Prior to Yahoo, Sosin served as director of development and then vice president at Time Inc. Studios, where he led Time Inc.’s branded entertainment, television and film division. There, he was responsible for the development, production and distribution of multiplatform, video-centric projects for clients. He also worked to create series and specials for television networks including Spike, Lifetime, TNT, TV One and Cartoon Network.
