Backstage at Issey Miyake Fall 2013

Eugene Souleiman and Lucia Peroni created the beauty look for the show.

PARIS — Makeup artist Lucia Peroni described the look she crafted for the Issey Miyake show as “linear shafts of light across the face.” She was working with MAC Cosmetics.

Peroni moisturized models’ skin with a bit of Strobe Cream and also applied two shiny pigments – one pink and one white – in a line along their cheekbones.

Lips were masked with some concealer. Peroni called the look “fresh faced” and “slightly ethereal.”

Hairstylist Eugene Souleiman described coifs as “pretty.”

“It’s really about pieces of hair moving,” he explained. “It’s a small head with lots of volume just at the crown and straight, soft pieces of hair that fly. It’s like the girls feel like they’ve been in the wind for a long time, or they’ve been in the elements.”

Souleiman used Wella’s Ocean Spritz Beach Texture Hairspray to achieve the effect.
