Tom Pecheux for MAC Cosmetics began by saying the makeup for Sophie Theallet is not his favorite, but the type of girl is. “She’s sexy, chic, naughty and French,” said Pecheux. He began by applying Face and Body Pro Conceal Palette on areas needed and layered Translucent Powder on top. Next, he used Fun End Blush Powder on the cheekbones. Eyes, which were at the center of the look, were smudged all over the eyelids and above. To finish, lips were topped with Lip Conditioner. “It’s a woman who is self-confident,” he said. “We want the makeup to look like they’ve worn it all night long.”
Inspired by the Fifties film “L’Ascenseur pour l’échafaud,” Frédéric Fekkai working with his eponymous brand, fashioned a hairstyle that appeared to have been worn for multiple days. “The hair is flat,” said Fekkai. “It has great texture, but it’s a bit a greasy and bit lived in.” He began by blow-drying the hair straight, keeping it close to the head to minimize volume. Next, he applied Essential Shea Pot de Crème from midlength to ends with a bit of Brilliant Glossing Crème to bring out a piecey texture. Then, mixing a few drops of PrX Reparatives Mending Elixir and Sheer Hold Hairspray, he polished and tamed the hair. “The hair is disheveled,” said Fekkai. “But you can see there is a great allure to it.”
Creating clean, sheer and nude nails, Keri Blair for MAC Cosmetics painted them with Gold Pearl and Faint of Heart and finished with a Matte Top Coat.
